Christmas Newsletter 2012

Dear Parents/Carers

Welcome to our Christmas Newsletter. Christmas is approaching and in support of our curriculum, we have lots of exciting events planned for the festive season.

Decorations

Throughout November, children and staff have lots of fun creating Christmas wall displays and decorations. On Thursday 29th November staff will be staying behind when the nursery closes to put everything up. Please feel free to come in and have a look around, it gives children a lot of pleasure to be able to show off their work.

Christmas festivities

On Monday 10th December, we will be holding a Christmas Party at the Church of the Holy Trinity in Lennard Road Penge (5 minutes walk from the nursery) We would like to invite all parents to join us for this event. The afternoon will start at 3:30pm when the children will be putting on a performance with a festive theme. After the play we will be adjourning to the church hall for party food, drinks and a disco.

Children that attend on a Monday will go to the hall with nursery staff, children that do not attend on a Monday can be brought by parents to the hall at 3.00pm.

Although the babies are a little young to join in with the Christmas performance we would still like them to be able to join in the fun we are asking all 'baby parents' where possible to collect their child from the nursery at 3pm and bring them down to meet us at the hall where they can watch the performance and then join in the party afterwards. If any parents are unable to help out on this day please do not hesitate to speak to Karen Cindy or Sophie. Babies who do not normally attend on a Monday are also invited to join us with their parents for the performance and party at the hall.

Christmas Dinner.

This will be held on Friday 21st December. Unfortunately space and ratio restrictions mean that we can only invite children who normally attend on a Friday.

Nursery Christmas Holidays.

The nursery will close at 4pm on Christmas eve and will re-open on Wednesday 2nd January 2013. As per conditions of placement full fees are payable for the week we are closed. Please ensure that all your fees are up to date prior to the Christmas Holiday including fees for the week we are closed.

We hope you can join your children for their Christmas Celebrations. We look forward to seeing you.

May we take this opportunity to thank parents for their ongoing support in all our work and to wish all children and families a very Happy and peaceful Christmas and New Year.
