Crystal Childcare's aim is to meet the diverse and complex needs of each child as an individual and to provide a happy, warm, stimulating and safe environment in which children can develop physically, intellectually, socially and emotionally. We feel it is important to promote an atmosphere in which parents feel welcome, relaxed, comfortable and reassured.

Crystal Childcare has its own unique approach to childcare combining care with education. We have a policy of learning through play and a great deal is learnt through theme or project work using art, science, stories, songs, games and hands on experiences such as outings or talks from outside visitors or drama. Activities are aimed at all levels, so themes can vary from basic things such as colours or shapes to more complex issues such as the five senses and religious festivals.

At Crystal Childcare we feel that it is absolutely essential that the care the child receives in the nursery complements the care received at home. Before being offered a place in the nursery all parents are invited to a registration meeting to view the nursery and get to know the staff. Time will be spent discussing the needs of their child and how we may be able to help them.

On arrival at the nursery, parents will be welcomed by the child's key carer - a staff member specially assigned to care for their child and ease her/his transition into the nursery. The key carer will listen carefully to any information that the parents want to pass on and convey it to other nursery workers. He/she will also take a special interest in the child and be able to share with the parents any observations he/she has made regarding the child's health or development on a day to day basis. The children are supervised at all times by qualified and experienced staff.
